Ingredients ========= 1/2 cup whole wheat flour & 1/4 cup white flour or can use all white flour 1 3/4 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp sugar 2/3 cup milk ( tweak to desired consistency of batter, should not be too liquidy ) 1 egg 1 1/2 tbsp oil Optional ingredients ============== Dash of vanilla 1 tbsp ground flaxseed Tip 1: Mix dry ingredients first Tip 2: Mix liquid ingredients separately then add to mixed dry ingredients Tip 3: Do not over-mix, batter should have some lumps Over mixing toughens the bonds in the flour gluten making it rise less.
